Sound check, sound check, sound check, and finally some choonz started goin'. Mr. Geezer put on some good choice of rekkids and started the night off right. Halloway and I went on, and my vocal chords took a beating from being sick and such, but what can ya' do? I thought the set went pretty good, and I was happy to hear some of Halloways tracks on loud speakers I think it was awl goodies considering we only had one day that we spent throwing it all together (Damn computer) There was also a track by Mista Tleilaxu which was played, and also 2 Producer Snafu tracks if I remember correctly...Totally rad to hear those LOUD Mashups set kicked ass as usual. Gracing the stage with a presence of max. energy! Those guys always rock my socks straight off, dude, and I am always left gloriously happy and at peace Two of my favorite Mashup tracks were played and I was thrilled, along with a kick ass Killing Joke remix track (That RULED!!!) Jump around dancing GOODNESS Seeing Matt Green made me have a totally new respect for him. I always thought this guy was one of the coolest hardcore dudes anyways, but man, this guys shiat was master ruler of ruleness. I was in awe. It was even cooler then anything else of his that I had ever heard before. The 4/4 banging beat with the break influence and such just had me rocking out. Thinking about it makes me hyperactive. And I can just hope he can come back out to L.A. again sometime and bless us with such awesome talent!!! DAMMIT IT ROCKED! He and his girlfriend were truely nice folk, and that is a plus. I loved the begining of Dan Doormouse's set. He had the ability to rock out the crowd with his energy on stage and the energy of his music. I was having a great time dancing and jumping around. There was a few assholes, however during this time period. Two fuckfaces started kickin each others ass in the pit, which resulted in me having some bruises, so when people started getting violent I jumped into the middle of it all and they would stop when they saw my little ass fighting for a space to dance in. I was also about to kick this guys ass who was by cookies. But anyways, Doormouses set was pretty rad, although, I liked the begining of it better then the ending of it. The ending wasn't bad, I just thought the beginging was wayyyy better. It sucked that alotta people left before Duran Duran Duran's set. This was my first time hearing him, besides a few tracks I have of his. I was sincerely impressed. His set busrted with amazing sound and enough vibes flowing into me to drop a bomb. I thought the Sadam mask was pretty funny too This guy was allll rockin' out, and I loved the harsh fast violent end to his set. I danced as much as I could from being so tore and worn out. This guy was a real nice guy as well!! Talkative, friendly and all. Cool chap!!! And sometime before the night was over, Geezer put on some rekkids that had me going once more like tribal Mamma, with enough drum action to make meh move. The perfect sounds to bless the evening. I would like to find out what those rekkids were because they were dope!!~ I helped clean up some bottle and crap off the floor and then we were off. Halloway and I came home around 7am and died in our beds. |

this was the 1st time i got to see everyone play live. i really enjoyed both nights more in sd =) CONCRETE COOKIE + THE DOG + THE HONG KONG GEEZER: I was really impressed with your performance I thought you all brought something different to the table. Cookie with the funk, tripout style and The Dog with the boombass. i wasn't sure who the geezer was but i bet he was just as good. i really enjoyed it Matt Green: ive heard of Matt green but never got the chance to listen to him b4 Friday night. he quickly won me over with his sound and style. i loved that orb thing he kept fucking with throughout his set evertime his hand went over it it would distort, speedup, slowdown, or stop the track. i had never seen that b4? i think i enjoyed him more in San Diego because i was a lil more familiar with his music from the night b4 and could not stop banging my head to his set Doormouse: were do i start.... i have been such a big fan of his for the past few years collecting his records and mixtapes. it was an honor to see him live both nights Friday night there were a few buzzkill 1) that guy breaking the glass on stage? wtf? 2) the fight in the pitt, i hate when people push up on me when im trying to enjoy the show but besides that i hada great time, in SD doormouse was nutts he had these crazy penis gags he was wearing,he almost got into a fight with some fool, and got practically naked for the crowd . besides all that still rocked it out Duran Duran Duran: i didn't stay Friday night for his set but got to see him sat in SD. he rocked it i dont know how he did it in that mask but he did. shit must have got hot under there. i hope to see more of this guy in the future Magus: Ian bro your set was most memorable watching fando y lis and listening to your tunes was a trip definitely a highlight in my book. i hope to see more of you live To halloway and aa kurts sorry I missed your sets I hope I get to see you perform sometime soon. Same goes to the others I missed live Fri and sat night. i cant wait till another mashup party |
